Privacy Policy

Aura Type is a Human Design app for iPhone and the web. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, and your name if you give it to us or if you sign in with Apple or Google.
• Birth details: your birth date, birth time (or that you don't know it), and birth place. We need these to calculate your Human Design chart.
• What you write in the app: your check-ins and journal notes, the answers you pick during setup, and questions you ask Aura.
• People you add: if you add someone to My People, the name and birth details you enter for them. These stay private to you: the person isn't told, and they can't see your chart or your comparison. Please only add people who'd be comfortable with that.
• Purchases: what you've bought or subscribed to. Payments are handled by Apple, Google or Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
• Basic technical information: such as device type and error logs, used to keep the app working.

What other people can see

Your chart, check-ins and notes are private to you. Nothing is shown to anyone else unless you choose to share it, for example by sending a share card. If you invite someone to Aura Type and they accept, the two of you can see the comparison between your charts. People you add without inviting them never see it, even if they join Aura Type later.

How we use it

• To calculate your chart, daily transits and readings, and to show you content based on them.
• To create your account, sign you in, and keep your information saved between devices.
• To answer your questions in Ask Aura.
• To provide the features you've paid for.
• To send emails you need, like sign-in codes. We won't send marketing emails unless you agree to them.
• To fix problems, prevent abuse, and improve the app.

Who helps us run Aura Type

We share information only with service providers that help us run the app, and only what each one needs:

• Supabase: secure account and data storage.
• Human Design API (humandesign.ai): calculates charts and transits from birth details.
• OpenAI: generates Ask Aura answers from your question and chart details.
• Resend: sends sign-in emails.
• Open-Meteo: looks up the city you type as your birth place.
• Netlify: hosts the web version of the app.
• Apple, Google, RevenueCat and Stripe: sign-in and payments.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or others.

Keeping it safe

Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with access controls, so your account data can only be read by you and by the systems that run the app. No method of storage is perfect, but we work to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep something for legal or accounting reasons.

Your choices

• You can see and edit your birth details in the app's Settings.
• You can ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us at the address below.
• You can delete your account at any time by emailing us, and from inside the app once that option is available.

Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have extra rights under local law. We'll honor those requests.

Children

Aura Type isn't meant for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU and UK). We don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email.
